All Killer, No filler

What makes us different?

  • We’re smiling through the ceremony, we’ve cried at speeches and even been known to dance at the evening reception (but not to ABBA, Alex will just lie down on the floor and cry).
  • Sounds daft but we really care about your day and the photos you get to look back on so we put 110% into everything we do.
  • We mingle and chat to people on the day and build up a false sense of trust then take photos when people least expect it.
  • We’ve never really followed trends. We don’t look on Pinterest for the latest and greatest photo ideas, we photograph what’s happening on the day.
  • We promise not to take faux romantic “hair sniffing” photos (unless that’s actually what you’re doing for some reason). We won’t take you away from your guests for hours on end, we spend a small amount of time taking to photos of you both together but we work at your pace. If couple portraits isn’t your thing, that’s totally cool, it’s your day and we want you guys to be happy.
  • We don’t spend ages arranging detail shots or hanging the wedding dress in a tree(!?) because ultimately, the dress is going to look better on you than on the tree.
  • We don’t skulk off and hide during quiet points of the day, we’ll be chatting with your guests or to each other about what we’re going to do next.
  • As you can see from looking around our website, we have a relaxed feel about our photos. But we do work our bums off to capture genuinely, the best moments of your day. It’s your wedding and we want you to have fun with your nearest and dearest without it turning into a “photo shoot”.
  • We don’t just slap a preset on your photos in post production, we actually edit them. Our aim is to be as true to colour as we can on the day. No fashion edits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get in touch! Tell us about your plans and we’ll go from there. If 2020 has taught us anything, we can video call like pros meaning you can meet us virtually from the comfort of your home to answer any questions you have.

To secure your date in our diary, we ask for a non refundable booking fee of £250, with the remaining amount due 6 weeks before your wedding date. Your booking form and contract are sent via email so everything is done online easily. And that’s it! You can tick “wedding photographer” off your wedmin list!

Yes! We know it’s important to have a few group photos but we do keep the number limited to 10 groups to keep your guests happy and to stop your faces from hurting with all that darn smiling. We try and keep this part of the day short so you can relax and enjoy the day with your guests.

We select and edit all the photos ourselves, our estimated turnaround time is 8 – 12 weeks, although this can vary depending on the time of the year.

Technically, we own the copyright to the photos but you have full printing rights to the edited images we send you. We want you and your guests to enjoy your photos so when you receive the gallery, anyone with the password can download, print, share the images.

We do spend a long time editing the photos (and it’s the reason why you pay the big bucks for a professional wedding photographer) so we do ask that you don’t apply instagram filters or edit the photos yourselves.

We’re based in Hull but happy to travel all over the UK or abroad. For journeys longer than 90 minutes from HU6 there is an additional charge for travel. Accommodation may be required for journeys over 2 hours.

Most definitely – for both indemnity, public liability and equipment.

Honestly, it depends. If you are getting ready at two locations and you want both locations covering, or if you have over 80 wedding guests, you may want to consider getting a second shooter.

We’ve written about this here in more detail 🙂
